Bill strongly believes that every client needs representation by a local agent who is smart, knowledgeable, and has a proven track record of successfully negotiating and closing deals. He takes the time to get to know his clients, many of whom become friends, in order to best understand their priorities, needs, and short and long-term goals. He constantly watches market conditions to see how each neighborhood and segment is trending, so he can better advise his buyers and sellers. Bill also understands the value of utilizing the latest marketing tools to help his clients and does not hesitate to adopt technology into his business.
Prior to starting in real estate in 2001, Bill was the owner/operator of a large landscape and construction company on-island, and more recently managed the Chilmark General Store, in which he is still a partner in the business. Aside from real estate, Bill is very active in the community, having served on Chilmark’s Planning Board, Finance Committee, Zoning Board of Appeals, and Board of Selectmen (current Chairman). Additionally, Bill has served on the Board of Directors with both the Boy's and Girl's Club and Habitat for Humanity of Martha's Vineyard.
A longtime islander and avid outdoorsman, Bill has enjoyed many hours of gardening, boating, fishing, golfing, and has competed in several triathlons. He is a year-round resident of Chilmark, where he lives with his family.
