Oak Bluffs is a destination like no other, with undeniable charm, history, and spirit. Downtown centers on Circuit Avenue, the Harbor, and Ocean Park, and is home to a number of institutions, the Flying Horses Carousel (the oldest operating carousel in the US), Nancy's, Backdoor Donuts, Giordano's Pizza, and more. Homes in-town largely offer Victorian-era architecture, and many are resplendent in color and whimsical decor, modeled after the “gingerbread cottages” of the Martha’s Vineyard Camp Meeting Association - founded in 1835. East Chop has many prominent homes and offers a quiet enclave within short reach of town, while Farm Neck Golf Club and its neighboring communities provide a retreat from the hustle and bustle.
